Misophonia Collaboration Forum: Pathways Forward
Saturday, October 03, 2026, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EDT
Category: Events

The Misophonia Collaboration Forum brings together researchers, clinicians, individuals with lived experience, and advocates to exchange expertise, identify barriers, and build practical strategies for advancing research and care. The MRF is intentionally engaging experts from related fields to bring new perspectives and complementary expertise to misophonia, with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and pursue funding in this growing field

This year’s Forum offers opportunities to:

  • Learn about misophonia, possible causes, ways to identify the disorder, and possible ways to treat it.
  • Build clinical knowledge and connections by engaging directly with misophonia experts and colleagues across clinical disciplines, with a focus on improving awareness and moving toward more consistent, informed approaches to care.
  • Contribute to an emerging field where foundational methods, measures, research priorities, and clinical approaches are still being developed—and where expertise from adjacent fields can meaningfully shape what comes next.
  • Learn directly from the misophonia community about lived experiences, barriers to care, and priorities for research and clinical practice.
  • Develop new collaborations across research, clinical practice, and the lived experience community.

Location: The Whitley Hotel, 3434 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30326, and online for virtual attendance

The Misophonia Research Fund's second Collaboration Forum is a day-long, interactive meeting for researchers, clinicians, advocates, and people with lived experience of misophonia and their families. Developed with the Duke Center for Misophonia and Emotion Regulation, soQuiet Misophonia Advocacy, and the Misophonia Research Network, this year's forum focuses on practical strategies that can be used now in clinical care, research, and daily life. Sessions include Your Top Misophonia Questions, Answered; State of the Research & Clinical Fields; and a Lived Experience Spotlight, with speakers still being finalized.

In person, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, with limited space; tickets are $35 - 125 depending on role. Virtual attendance is free, and virtual attendees can take part in presentations and Q&A. The event is planned to minimize trigger sounds and includes a quiet room; accommodation requests go to [email protected].
